I have attended Only Connect since its conception. I have enjoyed each and every one, starting with a few dozen attendees and growing to over 450 guests at the last events. I have found Only Connect a great place to network in relaxed smart environment with a fun social/business crowd. I have made contact with very business-like people and also enjoy connecting with many of my Only Conect friends at the events.  If you are looking for a business/social event where you can generate revenue building opportunities together with social contacts in the Greater Bristol area – Only Connect is for you! Definitely worth booking yourself in for the next event.

I have been attending Only Connect from the very first event over two years ago to the most recent event and have seen it grow in grandeur, variety and opportunity over the period; it goes from strength to strength. It’s invaluable for those both wanting to network socially or professionally and is fun for everyone, whatever their purpose for attending the event!

It was a chance meeting at an Only Connect event that helped me land my job at The Prince’s Trust. After many years working in PR I was looking to work for a charity. Fate intervened when I got speaking to someone at one of the first Only Connect events who had just heard about a job vacancy at The Trust. It seemed too good to be true – my ideal job at a charity that I had followed and respected for years. I followed up with the contact the next day and before I knew it I was filling in the job application. Of course I still had to go through the normal application process and interviews but if it hadn’t been for that conversation at Only Connect I doubt whether I would have even heard about the job.  

For those who find that networking events can be a little bit staged and boring then Only Connect is the perfect antidote – who can argue with great food, great wine and great company in a beautiful location. It bridges the gap between business and pleasure and seeing as we spend the majority of our lives working, we might as well enjoy it!

After almost giving up on the networking front due to so many organisations trying to do the hard sell on me over the years, it made a pleasant change to find an event that is not only well attended but is full of interesting people that are open to the idea of doing business with other ‘Only Connect’ guests on a social front. I have already carried out some flooring contracts with developers I met in 2009 and few more ‘irons are in the fire’ as they say. Looking forward to 2010.

Only Connect is exactly what Bristol needs! It is refreshing to attend well-organized events, in pleasant locations. The evenings provide a great way of networking and meeting new business contacts in a relaxed, and friendly atmosphere.

At last a social and business networking opportunity with real style! It’s such a joy to meet new business contacts whilst also enjoying Bristol’s most fabulous venues in a relaxed but buzzing atmosphere. I have met countless new and interesting people and increased my business income as a result
