About The Founder

Only Connect and Only Select was founded by Bristol-based entrepreneur Jamie Breese. The idea for OC came after creating two summer's worth of memorable and well-attended BBQs on his Clifton roof terrace! Aside from creating a new type of networking experience, Jamie has been a columnist at The Sunday Mirror newspaper for the last nine years and was at The Daily Mail prior to that. Over the last decade Jamie has presented many popular network terrestrial TV series from BBC2's The Life Laundry and The Antiques Show to ITV1's Everything Must Go! and This Morning. As a filmmaker, in 2007, he was given a two-year deal with Steven Speilberg's Dreamworks Studios in Hollywood, California and has made several award-winning films including the 35mm Panavision drama Benjamin's Struggle which was selected by the British Council to represent British Culture worldwide. Jamie has enjoyed hosting a number of fashion shows and writing books in his spare time and set up Only Connect and Only Select to bring like-minded people together in his home city.
